About

ORK without facial hairBrains are distracted. Stories are attractive. I focus on both: stories that don’t just entertain, they feed the brain.

Formerly called CollegeCave, this blog focuses on the challenges of communicating ideas to busy people … especially Millennials or Mosaics or GenY: a particularly challenging cohort who combine amazing media sophistication with a postmodern worldview and a flocking relational pattern. To get Millennials, or Boomers even, to (1) watch and (2) believe, requires a level of authenticity with creativity that is rare indeed. Yet I’d like to step forward and invite your evaluation of my claims in that regard.

To consistently reach people with a message … what, so what, and why … is like making lightning strike twice … a lot harder than bottling lightning bugs. But I have proven it can be done, and this blog will tell you how. So if you’re into recruiting, or fundraising, or marketing or branding for any serious enterprise — college, non-profit, NGO, or B2B communication, I think you’ll find some useful ideas on these pages.

As President of Ztories (pronounced “Stories”) Cinemastery, my deliverables include credible cinematic media, websites including flash, photography, and print design. Many media, but one common denominator: they are all storytelling devices, and in every case authenticity — credibility — is the goal. You can get back to the Ztories.com website here.
